The 2025 Ram 1500 excels with three powertrain options, proactive cabin functions and more than 100 safety features for summer adventures.
Dodge’s lineup now welcomes the range-topping Tungsten model. It joins the popular Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star and Laramie trims.
Tungsten's upscale features include 24-way powered passenger seats with massage functions. The model also offers four-way powered headrests, new technology taillights, class-exclusive dual wireless chargers and a 23-speaker audio system.
All Ram trucks for 2025 models get newly designed grilles and updated headlights with an optional Walk-Up animation display of the RAM logo on the ground in front of the vehicle.
" The 2025 Ram 1500 brings our customers more power, more performance and more fuel efficiency with our all-new 3.0 liter Hurricane engines," said Tim Kunikis, CEO of Stellantis.
"With a choice of new and proven gas engines and our upcoming electric offerings, Ram is built to serve truck buyers everywhere. Our new powertrain offerings add to the unique combination of bold styling, leading-edge innovation and technology, durability and capability Ram customers have come to know and love."
Under the Hood
The 2025 Ram 1500 comes in two variants of a 3.0-liter engine: a base engine and a high-output engine. Both powertrains offer improved fuel economy over the outgoing HEMI V8 engine.
A third V6 eTorque with mild hybrid technology option saves fuel in stop-and-go traffic and short commutes.
Dodge’s base engine delivers 420 hp and 469 Ib-ft of torque with rear-wheel or four-wheel drive options. A high-output variant is rated at 540 hp and 521 Ib-ft of torque for off-road adventurers on rough terrain and for extra power while towing.
All three engine choices are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth gear changes and fuel efficiency.
The 2025 Ram 1500 offers a towing capacity of up to 11,580 pounds, making it capable of hauling large travel trailers. A maximum payload of 2,300 pounds allows adventurers to pack additional supplies for extended outings.
The Ram's 24-inch water fording height tackles flooded roads and trails ensuring the truck cross through streams without stalling or underbody damage.
Comfort and Convenience
A next-generation Uconnect system elevates in-cabin experience with a high-definition 12-inch touchscreen and industry-leading 14.5-inch touchscreen with split-screen functionalities.
Both displays use full array local dimming technology to enhance screen visibility in sunlight. The system operates five times faster than the previous generation and offers rapid touchscreen input (0.05 seconds).
Dodge Uconnect lets drivers find gas stations, restaurants or connect to real-time traffic updates to avoid congested areas.
A new feature available on 2025 models is a power open/close tailgate with obstacle detection. Tailgate automatically stops from closing if it detects anything in its path, including children and pets.
Drivers can organize storage using a class-exclusive RamBox with lockable compartments on both sides of the truck bed. RamBox provides sections so adventurers can stash items such as wet towels in one area and dry goods such as snacks in a separate compartment..
The secure compartments help prevent theft and keep items from jostling off the truck when it is in motion.
By using the 115-volt outlet, drivers can power up items such as a mini-fridge for cool refreshments or portable fan for hot summer excursions.
Safety
The 2025 Ram 1500 offers over 100 active and passive safety features.
Standard features include:
