Jeep Grand Cherokee “L” model has been named the “Best Full Sized SUV” by Good Housekeeping.
The recognition was part of Good Housekeeping’s annual Best Family Car Competition.

Under the hood
Jeep offers the Grand Cherokee L in two engine variants. The 3.6-liter V6 engine generates 293-hp and 260 Ib-ft of torque while the signature 5.7-liter V8 engine churns out 357-hp and 390 Ib-ft of torque.
Both options come with a maximum towing capacity of 7,200 pounds which is more than enough to haul jet skis, boats, ATVs or a camping trailer for a summer vacation.
Almost 10.9 inches of ground clearance supplemented with adaptive air springs and suspension flexes prevent the SUV from jostling on uneven trails. It also allows passengers to travel long distances comfortably on rutted roads.
Outfitted with all-terrain tires, drivers can navigate to remote cabins or camping locations over surfaces such as sand, mud or loose dirt. Skid plates protect the engine, transfer box and fuel tank from damage when negotiating rocky settings and areas with jutting stones.
The 2022 Grand Cherokee L comes with a waterproof battery. It also has a water fording height of 24 inches when traveling through creeks or puddles.
Comfort & Convenience
Jeep Grand Cherokee L includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen in the center of the dashboard, providing easy access by driver and passengers. It syncs seamlessly with a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster located behind the steering wheel.
A navigational display system of crystal-clear graphics delivers snappy responses for people relying on satellite directions to visit new places.
Upper trims offer optional twin touch screens for rear passengers to stream music, movies and TV. A 19-speaker audio system makes car concerts enjoyable during extended road trips, and 12 USB ports throughout the cabin ensure all devices remain charged on the go.
Also, 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L has the largest cargo capacity in the midsize SUV class. Cargo areas offer easy access for stowing luggage, camping gear and outdoor supplies.
The three seating rows in Grand Cherokee L provide plenty of cabin space for seven passengers. It also offers a best-in-its-class 39.4 inches of legroom for second- row passengers.
Good Housekeeping assessed hundreds of 2022 model vehicles on test tracks. evaluations were based on safety, value, handling, interior design, comfort and onboard technology.
Evaluators also considered features such as cargo space and the convenience of installing child safety seats.
