The 2021 Dodge Challenger offers a powerful line-up to enjoy warm August nights and end-of-summer road trips.

Dodge offers a variety of trim levels suited to all adventurous souls. Drivers can choose among nine sports-minded trim levels: SXT, SXT AWD, GT, GT AWD, R/T, R/T Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye and SRT Super Stock.

All V8 Challengers have rear-wheel drive, while all-wheel drives come with V6 engines. The 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the R/T, R/T Scat Pack and SRT Hellcat models.

SXT and GT come with a 303-hp V6 engine mated with an 8-speed transmission.

Challenger R/T puts out 375-hp and features a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. There is an 8-speed automatic option.

A 485-hp 6.4-liter Hemi V8 powers the R/T Scat Pack. The SRT Hellcat features a 712-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine.

SRT Hellcat Redeye has a 797-hp version of the supercharged V8. SRT Super Stock puts out 807-hp and comes with drag radial tires.

All Speed-Traction Control provides an iron-clad grip in rough terrains by applying brake pressure to slipping wheels and reducing engine power when necessary to help tires regain traction.

When on a steep incline, Hill Start Assist maintains brake pressure for a short period of time between brake pedal release and the push of the accelerator to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards.

The Challenger seats 5 people. Front legroom measures 42.0 inches and rear seat passengers have 33.1 inches. Cargo capacity is 16.2 cubic feet.

A dual-zone automatic temperature control with front and rear passenger vents and humidity sensor keep occupants comfortable. Driver seats power-adjust six ways and have 4-way power-operated lumbar support for long road trips.

The steering wheel is heated and encased in premium leather. Die-cast metal paddle shifters ensure smooth gear change without taking hands off the wheel.

Every Challenger features a touchscreen infotainment display with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.  SXT, GT and R/T trims have a 7.0-inch display, while R/T Scat Pack and SRT models feature an 8.4 –inch screen.

Driver assistance and other safety features include adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning and rear parking sensors.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2021 Dodge Challenger its highest rating of five stars. It also earned a top rating of four stars in frontal crash and rollover tests as well as five stars in side crash tests.
