Jeep, RAM Models Honored For 'Best Resale Value'

The Jeep Wrangler, Gladiator and three RAM Pickup trucks were recognized on Kelley Blue Book’s ‘Top 10 List’ of the best cars to sell on the used car market.

While the Jeep Gladiator and RAM pickup trucks (the 1500, 2500 and 3500) all bagged Best Resale Value accolades for the second year in a row.

The Jeep Wrangler continues to lead in the Off-Road SUV category, getting the Best Resale Value award for the third year in a row. It is the 11th consecutive time for the Jeep Wrangler on KKB’s Top 10 list.

“Shoppers who choose to buy a 2021 model from one of our Best Resale Value Brand winners can be very confident that their vehicle will retain value well over time,” said Eric Ibara, director of residual values for Kelley Blue Book.

Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler carries definitive outdoor capability which is a result of more than 7 decades of 4x4 engineering competence. Wrangler Rubicon 392 and Wrangler 4xe come with 2.0-liter supercharged 4-cylinder engines, mated with twin electric motors and a 17-Kwh battery pack.

Wrangler maintains a sturdy body-on-frame design of electronic lockers, compact axles as well as a front and rear 5-link suspension system. The manual 6-speed manual transmission of the base powertrain has been replaced with an 8-speed automatic system.

Jeep Gladiator

The Jeep Gladiator has rugged off-road capability, bold styling and an open-air driving personality. It is available in 2 engine options: a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 with 260 horsepower and 442 pound feet of torque and a 3.6-liter gasoline V6 horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque.

Both models are available in 4-wheel drives and 8-speed automatic transmissions.

Ram 1500

This full-sized pickup truck has V6, V8, diesel as well as the new TRX model engine options. The V6 engine comes with 305 horsepower. While the V6 diesel and V8 engines come with 260 and 395 horsepower respectively.

The new TRX model comes with 702 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds. All 1500 models are mated with 8-speed automatic transmissions and come in 4-wheel drives.

Additional features like skid plates and locking differentials make the Rebel and TRX trims the most formidable in rough and off-roading terrain.

Ram Heavy Duty

The RAM HD 2500 and 3500 are for people looking for plenty of hauling power. A standard power in all models comes from a 6.4-liter gas V8, that generates 429 pound feet of torque.

Both models are also available in diesel engines. The turbocharged 6.6-liter engine generates 370 horsepower and 850 pound feet of torque. Both vehicles have a towing capacity 35,000 with the right configuration.
