The all-new Jeep Gladiator blends rugged styling and entry-level versatility with a plethora of smart in- car technologies for both road and trail.
For 2023, the lineup comprises five models: Sport, Overland, Mojave, Rubicon and a Freedom special edition in honor of the military. The Jeep Gladiator Freedom special edition includes capability enhancements, unique exterior features and an American flag decal dotting the side of the vehicle.
Under the Hood
Gladiator offers 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged diesel engine options. The 3.6-liter V6 engine is paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission that generates an output of 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
The 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and delivers 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque.
Turbodiesel has an EPA-estimated 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The 3.6-liter engine delivers an estimated City/Highway mpg of 21/27.
Comfort and Convenience
The standard model includes a voice-activated 7-inch infotainment screen, a premium sound system with eight speakers, satellite radio and an air filtration system that minimizes the number of particles entering the cabin.
All Gladiator models seat five passengers and come with a 5-foot all-steel cargo bed for outdoor gear and supplies. Four strong adjustable tie-down loops ensure the cargo remains intact on bumpy trails. An optional spray-in layer insulates the cargo bed surface and protects the truck from scuffs and scratches.
Full-steel doors provide all-round occupant protection, with lower window ledges offering improved visibility while maneuvering on and off-road. An available limited-slip rear differential delivers extra torque and low-traction grip in sandy and muddy terrain.
Safety
The 2023 Gladiator is fitted with an advanced high-strength steel chassis, engineered to deflect energy from the cabin during a crash.
