Dodge Challenger’s Prestigious KBB Award For Brand Styling

The Dodge brand was awarded “Best Car Styling Brand” for its emblematic muscle cars at the annual Kelly Blue Book Brand Image Awards.

Dodge vehicles are renowned for their rugged looks and workhorse capability. Its aggressive exterior styling and unique heritage helped push the Dodge Challenger to the No. 1 spot in total muscle car sales in the U.S. last year.

"Kelley Blue Book Brand Image Award winners lead the pack when it comes to capturing new-car shoppers' attention," said Vanessa Ton, senior industry intelligence manager for Kelley Blue Book. "These winners epitomize which brands are most successful in making a positive impact on their target audience for 2022."

Assertive styling is carried through in the latest SRT models of the Dodge line-up: the 807-hp Dodge Challenger SRT SuperStock; the 797-hp Dodge Charger SRT Redeye, the fastest and most powerful factory-assembled sedan in the world; and the Dodge Durango SRT 392, America’s fastest, most powerful and most capable three-row SUV.

All these three muscle cars make Dodge the industry’s most powerful brand, offering more horsepower than any other American brand across its entire lineup. Each model comes with a gamut of customized options for muscle car enthusiasts.

"As more automotive brands and new models arrive on the scene each year, the increasingly crowded marketplace provides fresh challenges for product designers and planners and marketers alike,” Ton said. “The battle for market share starts with perception and consideration among shoppers.”

The performance image of Dodge helped drive the Challenger sedan to the No. 1 spot in muscle car total sales in the U.S. in 2021, giving the brand its first ever crown in the segment.

Drivers can access the entire palette of Dodge personalization options to create their own customized performance vehicle. HEMI® Orange and SRT Black appearance packages for select Challenger and Charger models provide additional customization options.

Kelley Blue Book uses a comprehensive tracking study to gauge the opinions of more than 12,000 customers who extensively research their vehicle purchases on the KKB website. Data reveals how potential car buyers perceive automotive brands and decide what vehicles they research, test drive and ultimately buy.
