Comfortable, versatile and safe. Chrysler Pacifica sets the standard for minivans with the accolades from Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica has earned the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
“Winning the highest IIHS safety rating of TSP+ distinguishes the Chrysler Pacifica’s superior safety technology and performance,” said Chris Feuell, CEO for the Chrysler brand. “Pacifica is the perfect choice for modern families who are looking for a minivan with the greatest combination of safety, functionality and value.”
The highest rating was given to the minivan following an LED lighting upgrade, revamped Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking system and one-of-a-kind second-row and third row Stow ‘n Go seating.
Stow 'n Go seating allows seats to be removed and stowed to free up the maximum amount of cargo space in the minivan. The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica is the only minivan that provides fold-on-the-floor convenience with second- and third-row Stow 'N Go seating.
The intensity of the standard lighting system has been increased and complemented with a 100%-wider headlamp beam for night-time driving visibility.
Chrysler’s automatic braking system earned a “superior” rating—the highest IIHS grade with the introduction of new camera technology and ultra-responsive radar sensors that deliver a 360-surround view unlike the standard system. The system detects when incoming collisions and alerts the driver both visually and audibly.
In the case of a slow response from the driver, the system automatically activates the vehicle’s braking system.
Pacifica also earned a “good” grade – the highest possible rating – in the six core crashworthiness tests conducted by IIHS: Small overlap front (driver side), Small overlap front (passenger side), Moderate overlap front, Side impact, Roof strength as well as Head restraints and seats.
With 160 honors and accolades, the Chrysler Pacifica is the industry’s most awarded minivan in the last five years.
