The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee gives you plenty of power, stability and ruggedness to handle those upcoming offroad adventures.
The Cherokee combines superior ride-and-handling characteristics with independent front and rear suspension systems and a world-class body torsional stiffness.
Under the hood
The 2022 Cherokee offers a choice of two engines mated to an enhanced, high-efficient nine-speed automatic transmission. A 3.6-liter, Electronic Stop/Start Technology V6 engine generates 293-hp and 260 Ib-ft or torque, and a 5.7-liter V8 engine fitted with fuel saving technology that automatically shuts down 4 cylinders for maximum fuel efficiency when all 8 cylinders are not required in motion. It generates 357-hp and 390 Ib-ft of torque.

With the V6 engine, the Grand Cherokee churns 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while for the V8, the ratings drop to 14/22 mpg for city and highway roads respectively.
Comfort and Convenience
The cabin offers a blend of authentic wood, rich leather and contrast stitching alongside a wing-shaped dashboard. It includes a 10-inch customizable high resolution home screen display.
Driving controls comprise of a rotary dial for gear selection. They are flanked by 2 large switches for driving modes and ride height.
An additional 10.25-inch passenger-side touch screen allows occupants to enjoy all forms of media including movies and online streaming. Passengers can also listen to music or podcasts via dual-phone connectivity or wireless headphones.
The 2022 Jeep Cherokee is designed to comfortably seat five adult passengers. It offers 41.3 inches legroom and 39.9 inches headroom for front passengers. Back seating offers 38.2 inches legroom and 39.4 inches headroom for back occupants.
Cargo space includes 37.7 cubic feet behind rear seats and 70.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down–ample storage for personal items and off-road gear.
A separate storage space is located beneath the front center console along with dual cupholders and a storage space under the armrest. Rear passengers can store goods and beverages in large door pockets, and fold down the center seatback for additional beverage holders.
Safety
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee the highest rating of “Good” in 4 crash safety tests.
Also, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the Cherokee an overall safety rating of 4 out 5 stars for its rear-wheel drive and 5 stars out of 5 for four-wheel-drive models. In both setups, the 2022 Jeep received 4 stars in frontal crash tests and 5 stars in the side crash test.
